The Role:
We are seeking a Restaurant Manager on a full-time basis. You will be an experienced, accomplished, entrepreneurial-minded individual, with a strong passion for top class food and drink service, in terms of consistent quality, taste, and presentation. You will have previous experience in a Supervisory, Duty Manager, or Operational Manager capacity, ideally in a city-centre based restaurant, and will be looking to take the next step in your career progression.

The successful applicant will:
* Be passionate and knowledgeable about food, drink, people, and excellent service
* Have a strong knowledge of cocktails and wines
* Have a strong business acumen and a strong understanding of social media and events
* Ideally, have 2+ years previous experience at management level in the Hotel / hospitality / restaurant sector
* Possess an inspiring, positive, fun, can-do attitude
* Always have a calm, efficient, professional, and organised approach to your work while working in a busy, dynamic environment, and also while engaging with your colleagues
* Have excellent English competence and communication (including listening and empathy) skills
* Have strong IT skills
* Demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail
* Be able to work as part of a Team or on your own initiative
* Have a good standard of health / level of fitness, and be capable of, and comfortable with, physical activity
* Be flexible as regards work shifts (evening shifts only, at the present time)
Specific responsibilities in this role include:
* Effectively and efficiently managing all aspects of our Front-of-House operations in accordance with the business plan/objectives and any management programmes introduced or underway
* Implement high standards of service and operational planning
* Planning and costing drinks and food menus, innovating where appropriate, ensuring that they align with the Departmental budget and GP targets
* To review and update job descriptions and SOPs if/as required
* Undertaking recruitment and onboarding of Front-of-House Team members
* Preparing suitable Team rosters, with a strong focus on managing labour costs
* To ensure the Front-of-House Team is a Team, well organised and actively managed
* To manage/oversee purchasing
* To be innovative, always seeking improvements/new opportunities/new trends
* Being open and willing to learn
* Working collaboratively with your Departmental colleagues, offering them support, mentoring and assistance in response to any needs they may have
* Working collaboratively with your Back-of-House colleagues and all other Hotel Departments
* Serving, and ensuring service delivery of, consistently great food and drink, in a timely manner and to the highest standards, in accordance with our menus, Hotel policies and procedures, and with your experience and training
* To ensure the highest level of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness of your/the workplace at all times
* To promote a safety culture and safety awareness. To adhere to our health & safety training, policies, and procedures. To ensure compliance with our HACCP/legal requirements
* To identify and manage training needs, including your own. To train Team members and/or assist with the delivery of training if/as required, to continuously develop the Team and with a focus on succession planning
* To deal with staffing issues arising, including interpersonal issues, in a comprehensive and timely manner. To maintain good working relationships with and between Departmental colleagues and with all Departments
* Identifying opportunities to recognise and reward Team members
* To ensure that we offer excellent food and drink service to all our guests at all times
* Ensuring, in your leadership role, that you maintain the highest possible standards of work, personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, body language, and conduct at all times
* Working with the Front-of-House Team to manage portion control and drinks costs and to minimise waste
* Working with the Front-of-House Team to ensure that Front-of-House areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and orderly condition at all times, and that cleaning schedules are set up and maintained
* To prepare management and other reports, and to make presentations
* To attend relevant meetings
* To proactively identify issues and solutions, and to discuss with Senior Management if/as required
