Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be a member of the Leadership Team.
Your role will be supported by the Financial Controller and Financial Team.
ResponsibilitiesLead and take overall management responsibility for all financial, legal and governance activity of the organisation ensuring sound financial management and financial controls are in place throughout the organisation.Diversify and manage revenue streams to ensure the long-term financial sustainability and independence of the organisation.Provide strategic direction and advice to the Board, CEO and Leadership Team.Lead the Operational Finance team with the support of the Financial Controller.Provide regular detailed reports to the CEO on Finance, Legal & Governance matters aligned with policies and procedures.Work closely with and support other members of the Leadership Team.Ensure sound financial management, financial controls and compliance throughout the organisation in line with Best Practice.Ensure the development of sustainable strategies in relation to assets.Ensure compliance with regulatory and other governance returns from across the organisation.Oversee Legal / Governance queries where appropriate.Deliver on the Action plans agreed for the areas of responsibility and align with Leadership where appropriate.Oversee the management of key projects and programmes as assigned by the CEO.Any other duties within the general requirements of the above that may be assigned.What you'll needQualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA or ACCA).A successful track record in senior financial leadership with a high level of commercial acumen, particularly the ability to quickly understand drivers for performance.Ability to ensure accurate financial reporting in all areas including project and restricted funds reporting.Excellent IT skills including advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Accounting Packages and CRM.Proven analytical and modelling skills, with an ability to review and challenge assumptions within detailed financial forecasts.Experience working as part of an executive team, exhibiting values-based leadership.Experience in developing highly functional teams with an understanding of your own strengths and weaknesses.Excellent negotiation and communication skills including the ability to express yourself orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and persuasively.Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills.Excellent sense of initiative, ability to set priorities and work under pressure with accuracy and dedication.A clear understanding, or the capacity to quickly develop an understanding, of the role of and the importance of effective functions as a strategic contributor to the organisation.The ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas and to transfer knowledge and skills.Salary and BenefitsSalary DOE.35 Hour week (core hours 9-5) - Full-time employees can enjoy a 35-hour working week.Annual Salary Reviews.Mileage Policy in place for applicable roles.Death in Service - after 6 months' probation successfully completed.Annual Leave - All full-time employees have 24 days annual leave which increases to 25 after 2 years in service.Sick Pay Scheme - after 6 months' probation successfully completed.Bike to Work Scheme.HSF Partnership.Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave - Available to Employees after 18 Months of service.Further Education Opportunities.At Wallace Myers International Recruitment Agency, we specialise in sourcing professionals for key industries and services.
