Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working with a multinational FMCG to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to join their expanding supply chain team in Kilkenny.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for coordinating, organising, and overseeing all activities involved in the supply of raw materials production and distribution of the company's goods.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement efficient site production schedules in line with customer demand profile and supply
2. Monitor and manage the schedule of raw material intake
3. Engage with Operations in the scheduling of production activities and manage local systems for all third party logistics interfaces with the plant
4. Develop and oversee the shipment process including the management of the selected freight forwarder(s) for finished goods
5. Incorporate maintenance and repair plans into the overall production plan
6. Manage the local administration process for all plant materials and stock requirements
7. Optimise Plant Quality targets by minimising the over and under supply of raw materials
8. Analyse data and trends to maximise forecasting accuracy, identify and drive improvements in the plan and the planning process
9. Assess effectiveness of plan and make recommendations for corrective action and implement through the production plan and process
10. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all data in ERP system relevant to internal production and external supply chains
11. Be the Subject Matter Expert for the Planning department in ERP activity
12. Tracking of Make vs Forecasts, ensuring most up to date information available to both internal and external stakeholders at all times
13. Take overall management responsibility for intake and despatch areas from a GMP, health and safety and throughput perspective.
14. Execute and develop Risk Management policies and procedures working closely with internal and external stakeholders to minimise risk across all stakeholders
Requirements:
1. 3 + years in a production environment preferably in the Dairy, Food & Beverage or Pharma sector in a GMP context
2. Will possess production planning experience
3. Ability to analyse data, identify trends and make recommendations
4. Knowledge of Dairy or similar food processing industry
5. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
