Job Title: Finance Executive Officer Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Executive Officer to join their team on a fixed-term contract, supporting the Accounts Payable function with daily operations and compliance activities. Job Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end processing of supplier invoices and payments, including handling queries, categorising, and reconciling discrepancies. Oversee weekly payment runs to ensure timely processing of supplier payments. Perform creditor reconciliations and aged creditor management. Administer staff expenses following organisational policies and compliance standards. Maintain tax compliance and assist in reporting requirements. Support cash flow management and provide inputs to the financial planning process. Manage cheque payment receipts and lodgements. Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Contribute to compliance efforts by maintaining robust internal controls and audit standards. Assist in internal and external audits and support the preparation of financial statements and budgets. Undertake additional duties as assigned. Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years' recent experience in relevant finance roles, or 3 years' experience as a qualified accountant in finance roles with strong compliance expertise. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Demonstrable expertise in financial controls and procedures. Solid communication and IT skills, including experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Experience with Purchase Orders and financial software such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is desirable. Desirable Skills: Prior experience within the public sector. Familiarity with auditing and financial project management processes. Educational Requirements: A background in finance or accounting with relevant certifications or qualifications is advantageous. Working Hours & Benefits: Fixed-term contract (12-18 months). Hybrid working arrangements, with at least two in-office days per week.
