A leading Cost Consultancy based in Ireland has a new requirement for a Senior Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
You will be involved on landmark projects within Ireland and work closely some of the country's leading developers.
With various offices in different geographical locations, the Senior Chartered QS will be responsible for the following: Key point of contact on projects, build trust with client, design & project team Assist the Associate QS with managing the cost plan process Prepare detailed and through cost estimates with a high level of accuracy to ensure all works are included within budgets Cost plan reporting Preparation of value engineering exercises including re-measures, reviewing alternative designs with contractors, forecasting potential cost savings etc.
Prepare and manage cost tracker Attending Design Team Meetings / Workshops Have an excellent understanding of construction technology.
Measuring and carrying out self-checks Oversee junior surveyors Preparing various bill of quantities descriptions from design drawings Help manage the tender report process & examining tenders Advise clients on the form of contract recommended & any specific clauses Manage monthly claims for payment submitted by Main Contractor Managing the day-to-day running of construction projects.
