The role of Payroll Specialist is a dynamic opportunity to champion our HR Information Systems and lead data management.
Working closely with the finance teams and payroll provider, the successful candidate will have ownership for payroll related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare bi-weekly payroll files advising of all employee payroll changes and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
* Partner with Recruitment & HR Administrator to capture new hires, leavers and other employee changes in payroll and systems.
* Manage the full life cycle of HR processes within our HR systems, including SAP and time and attendance.
* Support compensation-cycle activities for the global employee base through collaboration with the global centre of excellence.
* Serve as the central point of contact for employee shares and shares for shareholding.
* Apply SARP where applicable and complete the SARP annual return for Revenue.
* Process applications for new PAYE exclusion orders, PRSI special collections and calculation of Hypothetical PAYE/shadow payroll.
* E nsure compliance with Irish payroll legislation and taxation requirements.
* Advise managers on compensation guidelines, processes and best-practice.
* Liaise with Statutory and internal Auditors for Interim and year end Audits and provide requested Contracts.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and user queries.
* Provide training and guidance to Managers and employees on system use.
* Maintain a knowledge base for frequently asked questions and common system errors.
* Build and run HR & Payroll ad-hoc reports.
* Support Transformation projects as directed by Corporate.
* Perform other administrative duties assigned by the HR manager.
Requirements:
* A 3rd level qualification in Human Resources, preferably with IPASS certification or a relevant associated discipline.
* A minimum of 3-5 years' experience with payroll activities.
* Experience working on or with payroll teams is preferred.
* Proficiency in HR systems with strong analytical skills is required.
* Strong Organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary.
* A proactive approach with a process improvement mindset is desired.
* CIPD qualification or working towards it is preferred.
* High proficiency in Excel is required.
* Previous experience with SAP HCM would be advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
