You will be a member of the construction group within the delivery directorate, working as part of a team to deliver logistics, traffic management, constructability, and construction planning solutions across the project. You will lead the resolution of complex infrastructure challenges, determining optimum solutions by collaborating with colleagues, consultants, clients, and stakeholders.
You will bring relevant experience from major infrastructure projects, including a broad understanding of structural and geotechnical solutions, preferably with experience in delivering or integrating with bridge, deep basement, tunnels, MEP, and fit-out scope. This will be coupled with competence and enthusiasm for developing unique solutions which require the establishment of requirements, understanding of codes and standards, plus the establishment of precedent and best practice.
You will be responsible for presenting solutions to clients and stakeholders. You will review deliverables by others, including design submissions and tender deliverables, to ensure proposals are safe, buildable, cognizant of third-party assets and interfaces, and efficient.

You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement, and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the associate director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
Support the project and programme management lead in the overall execution of the project's delivery, bringing the necessary project management skills and experience that will integrate with the existing TII project team to ensure that the project directorate plans, tracks, and delivers against the project's programme and budget.
Provide support in the management of significant work packages/elements of the project to the defined time, cost, quality, and outputs’ benefits, including the coordination of the activities of all functions in relation to the delivery of the project within the timeline and costs as set out in the preliminary business case.
Provide project management support in regards to the following key activities: the mobilisation and onboarding of client partner resources within the project directorate, the establishment of the project directorate PMO, and the establishment and development of the information management framework.
In addition, the project manager shall provide project management support in relation to the procurement of the core contracts, assisting with the completion of tender design and all related documentation, and the development and coordination of relevant inputs into the production of procurement documents.

You’ll need to have:
* Ability to manage technical outputs to drive efficiency.
* Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

* BEng/BA/BSC in a related discipline ideally from construction management and related discipline.
* Degree/diploma/certification in system integration and assurance.
You’ll also have:
* Prior experience of cost management for multiple projects and/or programmes and developing standard operating procedures.
* Tangible experience of driving best practice in technical activities, processes, policies, and standards.
* In-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural/engineering/construction sectors.
* Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.
* Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.
* Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
* Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
* Commercial and financial acumen.
* Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
* Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
