The National Maternity Hospital on Dublin's Holles Street was established in 1894 and celebrated its centenary in 1994.
Employing approximately 820 people, it is the largest maternity hospital in the State as measured by annual deliveries and also one of Europe's largest maternity hospitals.
The hospital mainly provides obstetric, gynaecology and neonatal services.
The original focus of the service was the poor people of the districts surrounding Holles Street, Dublin.
DescriptionA minimum of 5 years' experience in Communications or a related field.Advanced computer skills to include MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).Experience in a busy office environment, handling multiple projects and deadlines.Strong written/oral communications, research and proofreading skills.Experience in dealing with the general public.Experience in liaising with staff at all levels within the organisation and giving presentations.Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop) would be an advantage.Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.Strong knowledge of media operating in this area, or demonstrable capacity to develop same would be an advantage.Demonstrates a passion for innovation and change.Clear understanding of relevant quality assurance and quality system procedures and management of same would be an advantage.The National Maternity Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
