We are looking for compassionate Healthcare Assistants and Activities Coordinators who are ready to create a vibrant, homelike atmosphere for people living with dementia.
As a Healthcare Assistant and Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an activities schedule promoting independence, choice, and dignity with those living with middle to late-stage dementia. You will work as part of a dynamic team delivering our services in a safe, friendly environment. You must be passionate about supporting people, motivated with a strong work ethic, and possess good awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the team in engaging and entertaining schedule of activities for residents.
2. Identify and address resident care needs ensuring an all-inclusive person-centered environment.
3. Participate fully in events and activities on site.
4. Provide personal assistance, support, and care to residents as and when required.
5. Maintain cooperative working relationships with residents' families.
Essential Individual Skills:
1. Compassionate, engaging individual with strong people skills.
2. Proactive with excellent communication skills and ability to listen.
3. QQI level 5 qualification in Homecare Support or a minimum of two of the modules completed.
4. Good knowledge and experience of working/caring for the older person.
5. Client focused, dedicated, and reliable.
6. Awareness of dementia beneficial but not compulsory.
