Civil Project Engineer - Flood Relief/Drainage
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to support and deliver existing and new high-profile projects, primarily in the water & drainage sector.
About the Role:
We are a multi-disciplined international engineering consultancy undergoing rapid growth in Ireland. As a key member of our water & drainage team, you will assist in delivering projects for public and private sector clients.
You will report to a Line Manager/Business Unit Leader and work as part of an integrated team to deliver projects on programme for our clients. This will involve carrying out site inspections, preparing reports with recommendations, and presenting at client meetings.
In addition to project delivery, you will be expected to assist others within the company as required, further develop your competencies to Chartered Engineer Level, and contribute to the growth and development of our business.
Requirements:
* A Level 8 degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related discipline (a postgraduate Level 9 Master's would be advantageous)
* A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in designing/delivering water networks, wastewater collection systems, water & wastewater treatment infrastructure, surface water collection & management systems, flood defence infrastructure, etc.
* Actively progressing towards Chartered status would be beneficial
* Membership of a professional body such as Engineers Ireland or Institute of Civil Engineers
* A background of working within the Water Services or Flooding & Drainage sectors, demonstrating experience of successful delivery on projects
* High technical capability, track record in delivering water services projects, and working knowledge of typical contract forms
* Experience in preparing construction contract documents and related technical specifications for water services or flooding & drainage infrastructure
* Familiarity with MS Office, CAD (Civil 3D preferable), and relevant simulation software (e.g., EPANET, WinDes, Infoworks, etc.)
* BIM knowledge would be advantageous, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Package:
* Salary €55,000 - €65,000 per annum
