We are currently inviting applications for a front office professional with 4*/5* previous hotel experience and proven ability to join our team.
As a member of the front office team, you will be assisting in the day-to-day running of the department which includes taking bookings, checking guests in and out of the hotel, allocating rooms and keys, answering the phone, and being the main point of contact for the guests. Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential to be considered:
* 1-2 years previous hotel 4*/5* front office experience.
* Fluent English both oral and written.
* Experience with Hotsoft and Tablepath is preferred but not essential.
* Shares our passion for delivering the highest standard of customer service.
* Have excellent communication, procedural, and administration skills.
Responsibilities:
Dealing with all guest enquiries and needs; the accurate billing of guest accounts; the efficient handling of all correspondence; maintaining good communication with guests, colleagues, and management; the efficient check-in and out of all guests; and the efficient taking of reservations on behalf of the Hotel.
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day: 7.30 – 4.30, 3-11.30, 9-6/10-7/11-8/12-9, five days over seven to include weekends and bank-holidays.
Main Duties:
1. Punctually attend work with a high standard of personal appearance and uniform.
2. Be friendly, patient, and courteous with guests at all times.
3. Ensure that all guests feel welcome on check-in and during their stay.
4. Ensure that the office is running smoothly throughout your shift.
5. Use initiative while carrying out your duties to provide the best possible product and service to our guests. Always look for ways to improve our customer’s experience.
6. Work as a team member in a fashion that is both supportive and considerate toward your colleagues.
7. Record what is required for the daily ‘Knowledge Report’ issued to all departments.
8. Relay any comments or queries to the Duty Manager and General Manager to minimize guest complaints and ensure our guests receive the best possible attention and care.
9. Be familiar with fire safety regulations and procedures in the hotel.
10. Be aware of the security of the hotel at all times, both in terms of access to the hotel, hotel property, and revenue.
11. Attend to any reasonable requests made by Management.
