A banking and financial services company is seeking a talented Desktop Support Engineer who has experience in the banking/financial sector.
Role Description
The ideal candidate will be joining an important member of a strong team, maintaining and controlling Windows 10 workstations, laptops, networks, and supporting the trading floor, corporate banking, etc. They will need to have a passion for IT and Technology to develop a career in IT support technologies. This will also be a client-facing role, so communication skills and active listening are essential.
Role Responsibilities
1. 1st, 2nd, and some 3rd line support
2. Call logging in Service Now, identifying problems and recommending solutions
3. Conducting and aligning support duties in line with ITIL best practice
4. Maintaining inventories of mobile data devices including iPhones, laptops, etc.
5. Troubleshooting issues including software, workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and printers
6. Responding to assigned IT Support queries and service requests
7. Expected to have knowledge of Banking and IT Risk processes and controls
8. Managing onboarding/offboarding of staff
9. Preparing cybersecurity data for review/analysis, ensuring assets are compliant with the bank's security and technical standards
10. Provisioning and deploying applications and new equipment to individuals and groups
11. Monitoring system performance and proactively ensuring full system availability

Technologies/Experience
1. Third level qualification (Computer Related Discipline preferred)
2. Windows 10
3. ITIL Foundation
4. Recent relevant experience working in IT as part of a Banking or Financial Services institution
5. Any experience with Lenovo, Dell, or Lexmark hardware highly desirable
6. Experience in the following: PowerShell or other scripting software, Office 365 products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Teams, supporting iOS Apple devices, Bloomberg, Service Now, voice technology including IPC or Cisco Jabber
