Logistics Manager
The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning and optimizing routes, managing the team of drivers, overseeing third-party logistics, and collaborating with Customer Service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan efficient routes for all deliveries to ensure optimal use of capacity and minimize idle time.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all runs to ensure efficient fleet utilization and reduce downtime.
• Effectively communicate clear and accurate information to drivers and third-party logistics providers.
• Foster a strong relationship with third-party logistics partners.
• Ensure data accuracy within our Logistics Management software.
• Monitor fleet maintenance and compliance.
• Analyze costs of maintenance and repairs to secure best value for the company.
• Investigate and report damage as necessary, completing incident reports where required.
• Train and mentor new drivers, analyzing manpower needs to ensure adequate coverage for all routes.
• Assist in the recruitment of new drivers.
• Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics activities.
• Be available to address ad-hoc emergency situations outside regular working hours.
• Ensure the team exceeds performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), presenting KPIs during weekly meetings.
• Perform other logistics-related tasks as needed for the normal operation of the business.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
• Qualification in Logistics or relevant field
• Team player with a flexible, positive attitude towards work
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, meeting deadlines
• Over 25 years old, with a full clean EU or Irish Driving Licence
