Exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Specialist to join my client’s team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting existing customers and developing new business within the company’s primary markets, including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, education, and chemical sectors. The Technical Sales Specialist will contribute to the team’s performance by completing tasks to meet the desired results as required.
Responsibilities:
* Provide sales support to field sales, engineering teams, and customers.
* Respond to customer queries efficiently and effectively and investigate and resolve customer complaints.
* Participate in direct marketing activities, particularly direct mail and tele sales, to specified budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix, and timescales.
* Document all sales and customer engagement within the CRM system.
* Manage the sales pipeline.
* Engage with both new and existing customers and key accounts to identify specific needs and new opportunities, which may involve accompanying colleagues in field sales to site meetings.
* Collaborate in market campaign planning, execution, and management.
* Maintain awareness of competition by monitoring pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, and other information as required.
* Continuously upskill by attending in-house training, educational workshops, and reviewing professional publications.
* Achieve KPI’s, sales, and margin targets as outlined by the company.
Education and Experience:
* Third level degree in business, science, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales role.
* Results-oriented with customer service, sales, and problem-solving skills.
* Skilled in negotiation, prospecting, developing client relationships, and achieving targets.
* Motivated and enthusiastic.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
