Operations Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Mid-Ulster, collaborating with a leading crushing and screening company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the production team to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
* Demonstrate strong leadership skills to manage a team of production supervisors/team leaders.
* Oversee the production process, ensuring production and quality targets are met.
* Ensure delivery of defect-free, customer-ready products.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
* Manage team performance by setting and monitoring annual SMART goals.
* Take overall responsibility for equipment maintenance and training.
* Strategically plan headcount, production costs, and expenditure.
Requirements:
* Educated to a third-level qualification in engineering or business-related subject.
* Minimum three years' experience managing a team in a heavy engineering environment, or five years at a supervisory level in manufacturing.
* Extensive experience in manufacturing management within a lean, heavy equipment manufacturing environment.
* Experience working with shipping and logistics departments.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience using an ERP system, particularly Epicor or Oracle.
* Experience in budget management.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean methodology.
