Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the U.S. Bank Europe Change Team to support and drive Major Change or Strategic Programmes as per European Management Agenda. This candidate will be responsible for delivering Major Change Projects, providing direction to project staff, and having an in-depth understanding of drivers of growth and profit in the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver Major Change Projects as per European Management Agenda.
• Provide direction to project staff assigned to projects and stages within the program.
• Have an in-depth understanding of and focus on the drivers of growth and profit in the business and where team focus should be.
• Build and deliver confidence in execution of change management.
• Establish governance and drive all aspects to ensure that assigned Project(s) is implemented, accepted, and operating effectively.
• Serve as a liaison and build bridges and relationships with sponsoring executives and among different groups.
• Work directly with the business line to understand business objectives and strategies related to project priorities.
• Manage communications regarding project and program management practices that create clear, concise requirements in program and project functionality, resourcing, budgets, and timings.
• Oversee assigned projects from initial concept through final implementation utilizing approved project methodology/tools and within enterprise standards and guidelines.
• Organize and manage a high-quality, cross-functional project team(s) by providing work direction and coaching/mentoring to assigned project resources.
• Construct a Project reporting and tracking framework and benchmarks.
• Provide oversight to projects to meet established function, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Escalate issues and risks to appropriate level.
• Plan, develop, and control moderate to large project/product budgets.
• Implement required policies and procedures.
• Ensure effective risk management and mitigation.
• Support CAO quarterly Management Reporting processes.
Requirements:
• Experience in project management.
• Experience with different project management styles.
• Payments Industry experience is desirable.
• Experience with FS regulations and regulatory environment.
• Experience in a multi-national company preferred.
• Consultancy experience is desirable.
Skills:
• Strong change management disciplines.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• A proven track record in the implementation of effective compliance and control standards.
• The proven capability to drive projects and programmes.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-8 years' experience as a Project or Program Manager or other role of comparable responsibility.
