The Finance Business Partner will provide professional financial analysis, advice, and guidance to budget holders across Ireland. Working as part of a network of Finance Business Partners, the role ensures financial assurance and adds value efficiently and effectively.You will support management teams by analyzing the financial impact of new initiatives, efficiency measures, and growth strategies. Your role will involve providing insights, challenging assumptions, and guiding key stakeholders to optimize financial performance. Building strong relationships across teams and the wider business will be essential.This is a hands-on finance role requiring broad financial expertise and a proactive approach.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with senior management to drive business performance through informed financial decisions.Provide objective financial advice that positively impacts business strategy.Identify and implement financial efficiencies, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.Challenge spend plans and seek opportunities to enhance service efficiency.Investigate high-risk financial areas and problem-solve alongside business teams.Monitor financial performance and ensure achievement of financial objectives.Conduct cost benchmarking and recommend measures for increased cost efficiency.Oversee financial planning processes, including forecasts, budgets, and multi-year strategic plans.Lead monthly Financial Planning & Reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate KPIs, Profit & Loss statements, and reports for senior leadership.Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and stakeholder alignment.Support capital expenditure proposals and grant applications.Oversee balance sheet reporting, trial balance reconciliation, and financial audits.Serve as the key contact for audit requests, statutory disclosures, governance, and tax compliance.Utilize the SUN finance system and racecourse ticketing application effectively.Drive continuous improvement in finance operations, system implementation, and process enhancements.Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.Skills & Experience RequiredQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a finance role (Finance Business Partner experience advantageous).Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (SUN accounting package experience preferable).Excellent communication skills, capable of bridging Finance and business teams.Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.Strong problem-solving abilities with a results-driven mindset.Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and provide insight.Commercial awareness and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Team-oriented with leadership potential and a proactive approach.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.High level of work ethic and ambition.
