Job Title: Facilities Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Engineer to join our team at a leading biopharma contract research organisation.
About the Role:
In this role, you will provide support to the local site by ensuring the Facilities team is providing the best service. Your responsibilities will include routine schedules, new qualifications, remedial maintenance support, site changes/expansions, and performing work in accordance with standard operating procedures and established maintenance schedules to meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Facilities Manager on facilities projects within the GMP labs.
* Plan and schedule maintenance and preventative maintenance activities, generate work orders, track progress, and update job details on the in-house system.
* Support site needs, respond to communication from other departments, and provide technical and mechanical assistance.
* Schedule work around operations, attend meetings with other departments, and prioritize tasks.
* Manage contractors on PMs and site change projects.
* Perform daily walk-throughs, review PMs & WO's, and verify task completion.
* Keep records in an audit-ready state and ensure compliance with GMP guidelines and written procedures.
Requirements:
* Relevant educational qualification ideally to 3rd level.
* Min. 3 years experience working in a Facilities/Maintenance role with responsibility for site maintenance, equipment maintenance (HVACs, boilers, etc), working with vendors, and related paperwork.
Preferred Skills:
* Decision-making role.
* Good understanding of Lab operations and support needed within a GMP environment.
* Experience with utilities such as HVACs, boilers, fume hoods, etc.
* Experience with soft facilities.
* Strong understanding of GMP.
* Ability to adhere to laboratory policies and standard operating procedures.
* Proficient computer skills.
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to work with diverse workforce and multifaceted requirements.
* Ability to prioritize and coordinate resources to meet customer needs.
Estimated Salary:
$60,000 - $80,000 per annum.
