Must be willing to travel nationally as requiredA minimum of three years’ experience of working in a procurement role or related area.People management and supervisory skillsA commitment to further personal and professional development (this developmental opportunity will require the successful candidate to undertake further education up to degree / H.Dip level).Experience of developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures.A good working knowledge of the eTenders.gov.ie platform.A good knowledge of public service organisations and the governance and regulatory framework within which they operate.Detailed experience of managing full end-to-end tender process from specification to contract awardA proven initiative-taking approach to achieving results.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpretive skills with an ability to use sound judgement when making decisions.Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to represent IFI in a public forum.A capacity to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders; to work in multi-disciplinary teams and to network effectively.Strong commercial negotiation skillsDesirable A proven proactive approach to achieving results.An in-depth understanding of the purchasing requirements for public sector.A thorough knowledge of Public Sector procurement guidelines and regulations with a commitment to the exacting standards of public service Good numeracy skills, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites.Be an effective communicator, with the ability to consult at all levels of the organization.The incumbent is expected to demonstrate IFI’s values in the delivery of their work.
