Job Description:
An Investment Associate plays a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities while supporting portfolio management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities across target sectors. Conduct market research and industry analysis to assess market trends and potential targets.
* Financial Modelling & Due Diligence: Develop detailed financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including valuation, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling. Perform comprehensive due diligence, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
* Transaction Execution: Support deal structuring and negotiations, including coordination with legal, tax, and other advisors. Manage workstreams related to transaction execution, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
* Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and provide strategic support to enhance value creation. Work closely with management teams to implement growth strategies and operational improvements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline; MBA or CFA qualification is advantageous.
* 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, deal advisory, transaction services or a related field.
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
* Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present compelling analyses.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
