Planner / Scheduler - Pharmaceuticals
Ireland is a hub of activity for the Life Sciences Sector, with global players establishing new and expanding existing manufacturing facilities throughout the country. This exciting opportunity has arisen to work on a major expansion project based in the picturesque Munster region of Ireland.
The manufacturing site is conveniently located just 20 minutes from the nearest international airport, making it accessible for those commuting to/from Ireland for this contract position. You will be required to work on site for 5 days per week, Monday – Friday, for 45 hours.
Role Summary:
* Develop and implement planning, reporting, and analytical tools for the Tech Ops organization.
* Chair weekly planning & scheduling focused meetings.
* Track and control plan vs actual, accurately reporting out results.
* Comply with current IOPS cGxP's (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, etc.).
* Maintain inspection readiness at all times.
* Create clear, tangible work plans to enable technician execution.
* Interact with our CMMS system, grouping and sorting large data sets into executable packages of work.
* Level load and resource planned work-fronts.
* Highlight schedule issues and constraints, proposing potential mitigations.
* Roll-up and summarize detailed schedules, tailoring for specific audiences.
* Establish KPIs, routinely tracking and reporting for specific functions.
* Engage with cross-functional groups for schedule development and forward planning.
* Chair schedule workshops as needed, conducting schedule scenarios.
* Liaise with Manufacturing and Maintenance scheduling colleagues to agree on handover dates, windows of availability, and access.
Must Have's to Successfully Fill this Position:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a scientific related field, or relevant trade qualification along with 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
* May substitute relevant experience in lieu of educational requirement.
* Proficient knowledge and use of the Microsoft Suite of Software Packages, including MS Project.
* Knowledge and experience with Oracle Primavera.
