Recreation Program Specialist – Natural Resources
This part-time position supports the management of natural resources and environmental sustainability in southeast Michigan through community outreach, research, and event planning.
Responsibilities:
* Develops and implements outreach materials promoting natural resources and environmental sustainability in southeast Michigan to support Oakland County Parks and Recreation's mission.
* Assists higher-level staff with volunteer coordination, program record-keeping, supply purchasing, and budget maintenance.
* Collaborates with local communities to develop special events and provides exceptional customer service to the public.
* Utilizes ESRI ArcGIS software to track partner progress and assess benchmarking for collaborative efforts.
Requirements:
* Be 18 years old.
* Have at least six months of full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative role, preferably in a park, recreation, or program setting.
* Possess a valid United States driver's license. Out-of-country driver's license holders will need to obtain a valid State of Michigan driver's license before the hire date.
* Pass the employment physical established for this classification.
Estimated Salary: $20.15 - $23.58 per hour (based on 20 hours/week)
