Process Engineer Job Description
The process engineering function plays an integral role in supporting Element Six's production activities, ensuring processes are under control and performing at specified quality levels.
Your Key Responsibilities
* You will be the owner for process verification, validation, and improvement.
* You will be responsible for creating, sustaining, and improving processes, including:
1. Identification and control of key process performance parameters and measures, such as:
o Reporting, monitoring, and governance of process control, Cpk.
o Establishing process control limits and ensuring the process operates within limits while meeting product quality requirements.
o Responsible for process capability and performance.
o Identifying and implementing countermeasures to meet process performance and yield targets.
o Building a deep understanding of process variables and implementing root cause analysis to deliver robust solutions.
2. You will also be responsible for the creation, implementation, and documentation of process specifications, such as:
1. Creating and maintaining process control plans, specifications, and supporting the creation of standard work instructions.
2. Taking ownership of process KPIs, FMEAs, control plans, capability reports, and continuous improvement plans.
3. Ensuring BoMs and routes are correct and up to date.
Additional Responsibilities
* Continuously improving and developing processes.
* Being the focal point for process change control.
* Driving process improvement and cycle time reduction.
* Leading PPS and 3C initiatives to address process concerns, quality issues, and implement countermeasures.
* Proactively seeking out new production technology to deliver significant advancements in process capability.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A third-level qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Process, or Production Engineering, or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
* An openness to new technologies and the ability to follow up on these independently.
* A motivated individual with a strong can-do attitude.
* Ability to lead, communicate, and appropriately influence project team members and work with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to relate and work effectively with staff at all levels in the organization.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all management levels.
* Strong analytical skills.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
