Key Responsibilities/Duties Perform hands-on assembly, installation, and commissioning of High Voltage (HV) systems, including switchgear, transformers, and protection relays in commercial, industrial, and utility environments.
Oversee testing and validation of HV/MV equipment, ensuring operational safety and compliance with relevant standards. Support maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, and repair for HV and MV electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Conduct HV cable jointing, terminating, and connection tasks with adherence to high safety standards. Collaborate with project teams to meet technical specifications and ensure high-quality engineering outcomes for clients. Work with advanced equipment and innovative solutions, promoting continual improvement in safety and efficiency.
Qualifications / Skills Must be a fully qualified Electrician with hands-on experience in HV/MV systems, including assembly, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in electrical installations and maintenance with knowledge of electrical protection systems and HV/MV safety standards.
Familiarity with electrical safety standards, testing and diagnostic tools used in HV installations. A full drivers license is essential. Travel will be required with the position.
