Project Engineer
As part of the Technical Services Team, this person is responsible for daily facility management along with long-term project planning and execution of plant works and projects. They will also provide and manage technical expertise across plant areas including fault finding and root cause analysis. Supervision of work and contractors is a feature of the role along with management of team members.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Safety Leadership Framework.
2. Maintain Asset Management Policies for the plant, in line with best practice.
3. Maintain the Critical Asset Register and Long Term Asset Plan.
4. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work in a team environment, lead, empower, and motivate staff to achieve optimum performance.
5. Planning of outages and associated works including works programme, contracts, project, and commercial documentation.
6. Managing tender preparation and other procurement related activities for projects being delivered.
7. Ensuring activities meet safety, environmental, quality, technical, and commercial targets.
8. Working within a team and engaging effectively with all key internal and external stakeholders, agencies, and being intimately aware of the various regulatory, licensing, and legislative frameworks under which Stations operate.
9. Understanding the challenges posed by the changing business environment in which stations operate and driving change and flexibilities needed to address these challenges.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Experience and competence in Operations/Maintenance/Engineering Services of power plant and in power plant technologies, systems, and procedures.
2. Project Management and/or other professional qualifications.
3. A primary engineering degree or equivalent work experience is essential.
