Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Django software developers to assist our assessment team on a contract basis. As an assessor, you will be responsible for evaluating student projects based on predefined criteria. This role requires a commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate weekly deadlines. Assessors are compensated monthly based on the number of projects assessed, according to invoices submitted.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate student projects developed using the Django framework.
2. Assess projects based on predetermined criteria, including functionality, code quality, and adherence to best practices.
3. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their coding skills and project execution.
4. Maintain accurate records of evaluations and feedback provided.
Requirements:
1. A university degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
2. Proficiency in Django framework with a strong understanding of web development principles.
3. Demonstrated experience in developing Django applications, with a portfolio of previous projects preferred.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide clear and constructive feedback to students in English.
5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet weekly deadlines.
6. In this role, being receptive to feedback is paramount.
7. Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or assessing software development projects is a plus.
