Job Description Duties will include but are not limited to: Traffic management Patrol and escort driving Carry out preventative maintenance checks as required and completion of the appropriate paperwork.
Maintain good records and reports of all incidents that occur while on shift.
Assisting road users and giving directions ensuring safety and best practice Report writing of incidents and property damage.
Liaising with the control rooms, management and other departments Work effectively as part of a team to ensure safety of all staff and road Users.
Assist with training other traffic patrollers.
Qualifications Good understanding and knowledge of light and heavy vehicles (mechanically minded).
Must hold a current B licence.
Excellent communications skills are essential.
Ability to remain calm, focused and capable of working under pressure during live incidents.
Ability to maintain good records and reports of all incidents that occur while on shift.
Good knowledge of the surrounding roads and motorways is an advantage.
Incident/recovery services experience preferable.
Traffic management qualification(s) preferable.
Being customer service focused.
Adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.
Adhering to all Dublin Tunnel systems, policies, processes and procedures Recording all environmental incidents and follow up with required actions in the correct and agreed format as per the Dublin Tunnel procedures.
Work in conjunction with all departments and assist in the development, updating and promoting of company procedures and systems in line with best practice.
Comply with requirements of the company's Integrated Management System Must be flexible to work shifts, morning, evenings, nights, weekends, public holidays etc.
as required over a 24-hour period.
