Job Title: Additive Manufacturing Lead Engineer

Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the owner of Laser-Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) capabilities.
2. Lead Additive Manufacturing-specific New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
3. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards within the designated area.
4. Oversee machine maintenance through proactive Preventive Maintenance (PM) scheduling.
5. Manage and dictate production schedules to meet business requirements.
6. Develop a roadmap for high-volume production process flows.
7. Conduct process validations for new products and processes, including VP, IQ, OQ, and PQ, along with associated documentation.
8. Actively participate in team meetings to align on project timelines and deliverables.
9. Design and deliver training programs for manufacturing team members.
10. Collaborate with Materials Science, Design, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
This role requires a combination of technical expertise and a passion for innovative manufacturing processes. You will be instrumental in transitioning new customer projects in additive manufacturing from development to high-volume production.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
2. Relevant engineering experience within the medical device industry.
3. Proficiency with Laser-Powder Bed Fusion technology.
4. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S methodologies.
5. Strong understanding of operations and NPI processes.
6. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
7. A self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
8. A proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic and results-driven environment.
9. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions, including Product Development and Quality Assurance teams.
