Experienced Design Engineer
We are inviting applications for a full-time Experienced Design Engineer to join our team at PRO Stainless Designs Ltd in Ireland.
About the Job
We have brought together expertise, teams, craftsmanship and facilities to deliver challenging stainless-steel projects. We develop high-end solutions for cleanrooms, hygienic environments, architectural metalwork and production sites across Ireland, the UK and internationally.
The ideal candidate will design structural platforms, stairs and/or high-end furniture for the Bio Pharmaceutical industry.
Main Responsibilities
* Communicate with Customers and External Engineers to ensure company-approved designs are adhered to.
* Liaise with Site Installers to ensure smooth Installation of jobs.
* Work within the project's design budget.
* Communicate with External Design Contractors if used on a particular job.
* Ensure compliance with ISO9000, EN1090 & CE marking related paperwork.
* Collaborate with design colleagues sharing new ideas and innovations.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
* A 3rd-level Engineering Degree or relevant industry experience.
* 5-10 years of metal fabrication experience is an advantage.
* Ability to read and understand drawings, engineering specifications, BoQs and schedules.
* Excellent attention to detail and project follow-through.
* Experience in structural steel and sheet metal design.
* Proficiency in a 3D drawing package like Advanced Steel, Inventor, Tekla or equivalent.
* Familiarity with BIM packages like Navisworks is an advantage.
* Good understanding of Design for Manufacture.
* Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365, etc.
* A proactive approach to working within a team environment.
* Self-management, self-motivation and ability to deliver to project milestones.
* Innovative problem-solving skills.
* Professional verbal and written communication.
