Key Role Summary
AIB is seeking an expert in Sustainability/Regulatory Reporting/Compliance/Legal to ensure all banking licences are compliant with sustainability regulations.
The Role
Sustainable Finance is a regulatory imperative driven by new EU legislation accelerating Sustainable Finance reporting, transparency, and disclosure in the Financial Services Sector.
The financial system has a key role to play in delivering on sustainability and climate goal objectives.
This role plays a significant part in meeting AIB strategic objectives, influencing AIB's approach to meeting its regulatory requirements and voluntary commitments in this fast-growing area.
Reporting directly to the Sustainability Regulatory & Reporting Standards Advisory manager - Group Strategy and Sustainability.
Accountabilities
* Set up and lead frequent meetings with Sustainability and Strategy teams and other AIB functions to assist interpretation, provide support, and discuss changes in regulations.
* Assist with publicly disclosed voluntary commitments.
* Track and liaise with AIB Compliance teams to update sustainability monitoring tools.
* Participate in industry meetings with Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI) and EBF, relevant regulators, and manage responses to Consultation Papers (CP).
Requirements
* 3+ years' experience in ESG-related environments within Financial Services/Banking Institutions, regulatory bodies, or advisory roles.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks with competing priorities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proven teamwork and stakeholder management experience.
* Self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to work independently or as part of a small team.
* Understanding of ESG-related banking regulations, directives, standards, and guidelines.
