The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the project team in the implementation of world-class safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities: As a Health and Safety Officer, you will assist in developing, monitoring, implementing, and auditing health and safety procedures and policies across various projects.
You will coordinate the Health and Safety committee, ensuring regular weekly and monthly meetings, and help maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Your role will also involve improving the health and safety culture through training and awareness, representing the company during outside audits and inspections, and liaising with the relevant health and safety authorities.
You will be responsible for maintaining records of incidents and accidents, staying updated on new legislation, conducting safety inductions for new employees and subcontractors, identifying ongoing safety-related training needs, and reviewing subcontractor safety statements and compliance.
Necessary Skills and Requirements: Third-level education in recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred) Minimum of 5 years of Health and Safety experience with a main contractor in Europe A qualification in manual handling instruction would be an advantage Experience in leading and conducting risk assessments Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 systems Ability to deliver training modules (first aid, manual handling, fire warden, etc.)
