IT Support Engineer – Greystones Area (IRL)
Main responsibilities:
Reporting to the IT Deputy Director, the IT Support Engineer ensures the smooth operation of the organization's IT systems. This involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, providing user support, maintaining hardware and software, and implementing security measures. Playing a crucial role in minimizing downtime, optimizing system performance, and ensuring data integrity and security.
Assisting in training users and providing technical guidance to improve overall IT efficiency.
The main tasks are:
1. Handling user requests of the infrastructure type,
2. Processing or initiating support actions: take care of the end-user’s issues and describe it in the ticketing system,
3. Incident resolutions,
4. Establish a diagnostic and report in the ticketing system,
5. Follow-up of the ticketing queues (re-call users and track opened tickets),
6. Alert and take actions to operate preventive maintenance.
Profile:
Bachelor degree or higher diploma in information technology or equivalent education.
Requirements:
7. IT infrastructure skills (Windows, Linux, MacOS, Docker, Nutanix, Bash, PowerShell)
8. Network skills (TCP/IP)
9. Troubleshooting skills
10. Desktop deployment (SCCM, Intune, Windows autopilot)
11. Experience in ITIL/ITSM
12. Listening and communication skills, honesty, stress management
13. Strong customer support skills and experience
14. Good interpersonal skills, rigorous, problem solving
15. English B2 (minimum), another European language would be a plus
