The role covers a lot of ground, offering a mix of customer interaction, creative tasks, order management, administrative tasks, and logistics coordination. 1. Email and Order Management: This role requires someone highly organized, as there will be a lot of coordination and attention to detail needed to ensure that all customer and supplier inquiries are answered in a timely manner and that the order process runs smoothly from start to finish. This involves handling a lot of moving parts, from quotes to order fulfillment to invoicing.
2. Product Sourcing: Even though training is provided, sourcing products globally and dealing with various suppliers could be a fun challenge for someone who enjoys research and finding the best deals and solutions.
3. Client Relations and Telephone Correspondence: Maintaining good relationships with customers is a significant part of the job, so a friendly, professional telephone manner and the ability to be adaptable and accommodating will be key to success here.
4. Logistics and Couriers: With multiple courier platforms to learn and use, this role also requires someone comfortable with logistics and managing shipments. Experience in this area is preferred, but not strictly necessary as training is provided.
5. Administrative and Clerical Duties: Requirement to manage a variety of backend tasks like adjusting stock, uploading deliveries to the tracking system, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
6. Platforms: A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud is essential. Additional platforms will be used such as Xero accounting system, Job MGT, CRM system, and various logistics platforms; training will be provided in each case.
