The Institute of Public Administration (IPA), Ireland’s leading authority in public service learning and innovation, is seeking a highly visionary Director of Digital Learning to lead the transformation of digital learning across Ireland’s public service.

As Director, you’ll lead the creation of a state-of-the-art digital learning ecosystem including but not limited to integrating AI-powered platforms, VR simulations, mobile-first solutions, and collaborative learning hubs. This is an exciting client-facing opportunity to shape the future of digital learning across Ireland’s public service, driving learning innovation and impact at all levels of central and local government as well as the public sector.
What You’ll Do
1. Shape Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of a highly effective digital learning ecosystem.
2. Client Focused: Work effectively with key stakeholders across central and local government in addition to public sector organisations.
3. Innovate Learning: Deploy transformative technologies, including AI-driven learning systems, virtual reality, and mobile applications.
4. Inspire Change: Build and lead a highly collaborative, strong team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
5. Deliver Impact: Enhance inclusivity, flexibility, and cost-efficiency in learning and development across Ireland’s public service.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a dynamic professional with:
1. Experience: 7–10 years in leading transformation programmes with a strong track record in learning and development and demonstrated experience in digital learning.
2. Expertise: Proficiency in e-learning tools, curriculum design, instructional practices and implementing digital learning strategies.
3. Leadership: A proven ability to inspire collaborative teams and deliver impactful results at scale.
4. Strategic Thinking: A track record of anticipating needs and creating future-proofed solutions.
