Description
Purpose of the Role:
The post holder has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and services within the clinical area. The CNM2 must also ensure the provision of a high standard of care to the children and their extended family is consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the hospital. In carrying out these duties, confidentiality surrounding the child’s admission and treatment must be maintained at all times.
* Candidates must be registered in the Children’s division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
* Must have a minimum of five years post-qualification experience, three of which must be recent experience within acute Children’s nursing.
* Must have experience of delivering quality improvement in a healthcare environment.
* Previous IV experience/ Competent within paediatric cannulation.
* Previous Management Experience.
