As an Architectural Technologist you will be joining a consultancy based in the outskirts of Dublin city, perfect for anyone commuting from the outer counties or South/West Dublin. They focus primarily on large scale residential schemes such as developments and apartments, working alongside some of Ireland's biggest contractors. The team is experiencing growth and now looking to hire both intermediate and a senior architectural technologist
Your New Role
As an Architectural Technologist at an intermediate level, there will be plenty of support but the role has that added autonomy for the level you will be joining at. As an architectural technologist your role will focus around producing technical details on drawings, create planning applications which should go through successfully and also understand the building regulations applicable to the project to ensure an efficient transition of the project from design stage to build. You should have strong technical knowledge when creating tender packages, submitting DAC and fire certificates. The role offers a really collaborative work environment and a focus on CPD training to ensure you are up to date on all current construction methodologies. Overall this role offers a refreshing environment which will give you autonomy but also any help you need to grow and thrive in your career. For Seniors, you can expect a lot more autonomy, more site exposure and managing clients as well as a small team around you. You will be given the flexibility to work how you see fit, as long as projects are running on time and to deadline.
Job Requirements
For this role you should hold a degree in Architectural Technology with 3 years or more Irish project experience in an architectural practice or consultancy. You should have a strong ability using Revit, though if you only have exposure to AutoCAD this is a great time to join as the practice is still in transition to using Revit fully. You should be able to display your technical knowledge, detailing and expertise on DAC and fire certificate where this role will focus on. Any BCAR, site meetings, and client management will be a clear bonus and distinct advantage over the competition.
