Role:
The Business Development Executive – Retail Personal Lines will be responsible for proactively managing designated broker customer relationships mainly in the Leinster region with attendance in the office agreed in advance on an occasional basis for team meetings, training, and ad hoc collaborative meetings. You will be strategically focused on delivering the Allianz Retail Strategy within a demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business development, pipeline opportunities, and retention by maximizing growth with broker partners, ensuring exceptional customer relationship experiences and service delivery in collaboration with the broader Customer and Allianz organization.
2. Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve growth and retention targets with brokers, balancing Allianz's objectives of profitable and sustainable growth with the commercial expectations of our broker partners.
3. Establish and maintain productive, supportive, and commercial relationships with key broker partners.
4. Deliver optimal outcomes in our target customer segments and journeys, guided by our strategic game plans, and work closely with colleagues within the Customer and wider Allianz organization.
5. Conduct annual and quarterly reviews of broker relationships to evaluate performance against KPIs and plans.
6. Analyze broker data and identify trends to develop tactical actions for performance improvement.
7. Actively engage with the broker market to promote the Allianz brand, providing feedback on emerging customer and market trends to create customer-centric propositions informed by client, broker, and market insights.
8. Continuously drive improvements in the customer experience and consistently contribute to the Customer Organization goals of our overall strategy.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Essential Criteria
1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in General Insurance (Personal Lines or Commercial).
2. APA, CIP, Dip CII, Grandfathered or ACII.
3. Demonstrate experience of successful track record of delivery and achieving goals.
4. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
5. Demonstrate experience of cross-functional stakeholder management.
6. Knowledge and understanding of Personal Lines products.
7. Full driving license.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience within a Sales function, with a proven track record of delivery.
2. Familiarity with the local regulatory context and requirements for relevant jurisdictions.
3. Relevant third level or postgraduate degree.

3. Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills, balancing the needs of the broker with Allianz plc strategic objectives.
4. Demonstrate commercial acumen, an understanding of the Allianz plc risk appetite, and the ability to collaborate with underwriting to deliver profitable growth.
5. Demonstrate an ability to manage workload effectively, using data and strong judgment to deliver concise analysis within deadlines.

8. Respect and work well with others by communicating effectively with all key stakeholders.
