Job Description
The role of Project Manager is to oversee the planning and successful delivery of contracts for a leading specialist building and construction solutions company based in County Tipperary.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a consistent approach to workload. They will also have experience in a similar role and industry, as well as strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Chair regular meetings with project teams internally and externally to ensure progress of projects meets planned programme.
* Provide clear, concise, and accurate reporting on project progress and advise on any variance and reasons for variance.
* Work with Head of Contracts and QS's to ensure all financial information is relevant, accurate, and on time.
* Attend sub-contractor and client meetings to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
* Produce and adhere to detailed on and off-site programmes for assigned projects.
* Pre-plan material, manning, and equipment levels required to achieve site programme.
* Provide technical support at tender stage where applicable.
* Take responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects, advising on construction work methods, design, and build.
* Lead design management and review on design and build projects where applicable.
* Manage sub-contractors on assigned projects, including their recruitment, performance management, training, and development.
* Oversee the allocation of trades and labour, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources.
* Follow up/manage unacceptable sub-contractor/supplier performance.
* SUPPORT OBJECTIVES ON-SITE AND ATTEND AUDIT MEETINGS.
* Adhere to Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Liaise with Quality department to expeditiously disposition rejected materials.
Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree.
* Experience in a similar role and industry.
* Full clean driving license for Ireland.
* Use of Microsoft packages including Word and Teams.
* Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Basic understanding of construction contractual terms.
* Able to recognize a problem and assume primary responsibility for the solution.
* Great client and project management skills and communication.
* Ability to provide others with clear direction and delegate work appropriately.
