Technical Project Manager - Electrical HV
The Senior Technical Project Manager role is a key position within the Engineering and Asset Management (EAM) area, which facilitates technical standards and functional specifications for all plants connected to the transmission system.
EAM is responsible for developing new and innovative technologies and methodologies, ensuring that requirements are incorporated in project design and construction, whether carried out by ESB Networks or third parties.

Your Key Responsibilities
1. Ensuring technical queries raised during projects are dealt with efficiently, according to TSO standards and policies.
2. Monitoring construction progress and onsite inspection to ensure compliance with standards and designs.
3. Reviewing submitted detailed designs against functional requirements and outline designs.
4. Producing commissioning instructions and verifying transmission system requirements for commissioning tests.
5. Coordinating with peers to meet business priorities and provide technical guidance.
6. Managing interactions with client engineering vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
7. Providing technical direction and assistance across the organisation.
8. Ensuring completion of Stage Gate Reviews and lessons learned on each project.
9. Facilitating project reviews, assessment, and auditing by internal and external parties.
You'll Need
* An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience post-graduate.
* Transmission Substation design expertise with experience assessing substation designs for conformity to standards at 110/220/400 kV.
* Digital savvy and ability to build lasting client relationships.
* Construction or project management background and willingness to grow your career.
* Experience completing onsite inspections and monitoring construction progress for compliance.
* Ability to prepare and issue transmission design drawings.
You'll Also Have
* Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or equivalent professional or personal development.
* Substantial experience in delivering projects and programmes in the Energy sector.
* Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
* Commercial and financial acumen.
* Leadership experience within large, diverse teams.
* Experience developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Knowledge of carbon and sustainability considerations in project outlooks.
