SCOPE OF WORK
To ensure the smooth running of all aspects of front office, maximise room sales, and offer an efficient and personalised service to all guests in line with Trigon Hotel Group procedure brand service standards.
In the absence of the Front Office Manager, assume overall responsibility for the Front Desk.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure day and night teams work together as one department.
* Cross-train employees to work on both days and nights.
* Recruit staff for the Front Office on an ongoing basis to maintain the talent bank.
* Develop, motivate, and carry out one-week reviews, job chats, and Performance Review of all Front Office Staff.
* Oversight and implementation of all staff training within Front Office and ensure signed training records are kept.
* Maximise room sales always and ensure that all Front Office staff are focused on the team's sales objective.
* Set monthly incentives and targets for all Front Office staff and provide feedback results.
* Ensure adherence to Trigon Hotel Group Health & Safety policies.
* Ensure that all tasks carried out by Front Office staff are completed to the required standard.
* Make recommendations to the Front Office Manager and Deputy General Manager regarding any new standards or procedures within the Front Office that may be required.
* Prepare the rota for all Front Office staff and forecast weekly wages.
* Ensure the security of cash/float/safety deposits within the department.
* Complete all company control documentation, banking, and daily business.
* Maintain a complete understanding of all aspects of Night Audit operations and carry out on an intermittent basis.
* Report any comments, complaints, and compliments to the General Manager.
* Ensure a high level of personal and work cleanliness and hygiene within the department.
* Carry out all duties in a safe manner regarding the Health & Safety/welfare of themselves, other members of staff, guests, or any other persons on Hotel's premises.
* Adhere to the Company's code of conduct.
* Report any thefts, breakages, damage, or hazards.
* Carry out any other reasonable request made by management or Hotel guests.
* Afford opportunities for training and communication meetings as required.
* Monitor and control holidays and lieu time monthly.
* Regularly review Standard Operating Procedure Manuals.
* Management of absenteeism.
* Host monthly departmental meetings according to Trigon Hotel Group meeting criteria.
* Correlate and internally publicise guest feedback.
