The successful candidate will support the delivery of ambitious Mortgage and Consumer Lending P&L targets by supporting changes to existing products and introducing new products priced for value in collaboration with key internal stakeholders e.g., Treasury, Risk, Distribution, Operations. The role holder will work with a team of subject matter experts in the areas of Mortgage and Consumer Lending to support the development and implementation of the bank's Lending Strategy. As part of the role, you will continually scan the market for best practice and product/pricing opportunities in the lending space, while analysing own performance and identifying opportunities for commercial growth that are critical to the delivery of PTSB's ambitious Mortgage and Consumer lending commitments. You will need to be well organised, able to work to tight deadlines and adapt in a fast-moving environment. On a typical day, your role could span analysing the MI and understanding the performance, new project requirements gathering, business process design to investigating and resolving product queries, processing daily BAU tasks and other ad hoc tasks and project work. Responsibilities: Lead Regular and timely monitoring of Mortgage and Consumer Finance Performance against agreed volume and income targets including but not limited to market share, segment share, channel mix & channel performance. Escalate where gaps are observed with insights and proposed actions to address the gap; Assess and review internal and external performance, market and competition trends and customer needs to gain insights into product / customer profitability, and identify opportunities for new and existing business, e.g. revenue generation and cost reduction opportunities; Work with other areas of the business (e.g. Operations, IT, Credit) and external partners to put in place critical enablers to support the delivery of products to consumers; Lead development of propositions and personal lending products which address customer needs in line with agreed customer and product strategies Lead on any project/programme related work and ensure all internal governance and relevant regulation is followed. Ensure implemented product or process is consistent with the design approved and delivers the value and customer benefits defined during the design approval phase; 1st line of defence for regulatory compliance as part of the product design and concept creation stages. Work closely with the Lending Implementation Team to ensure New/Amended Products are implemented as designed such that projected income values and expected customer outcomes/benefits are achieved. Complete post implementation reviews as required under NPAP to determine achievement of income goals and management of risk to drive good customer outcomes Requirements: Product Management experience or knowledge gained in financial services. Experience in Mortgages and Consumer Finance would be advantageous; Understanding of regulatory regime and relevant PTSB policies and procedures; Sound commercial acumen and strategic planning skills; Strong analytical capability & fact-based approach to decision making; Well organised, able to work to tight deadlines and adapt in a fast-moving environment; Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; A confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaboration within an organisation; Proven success in consistently achieving targets or working to tight deadlines; Ability to lead, track and drive changes across business areas This is a permanent position based in PTSB's St. Stephens Green, Dublin.
