Job Description
As a process-driven professional, you will manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they align with the CDE Project Management framework and best practices. Effective communication with customers is paramount in this role.
This position requires further development of your understanding of project management principles and best practices, with a focus on applying them in complex and strategic projects. You will gain a more strategic and value-optimizing perspective through experience and growth.
Your primary objective will be to work on a mix of operational and strategic projects and processes within the Project Management framework.
You will also support junior team members by providing guidance and mentoring, while contributing to continuous improvement efforts by leading by example in process improvement initiatives, adhering to process, and highlighting areas for improvement.

Project Management
1. Operate according to the CDE Project Management framework, delivering projects within agreed scope, plan, quality, and time milestones.
2. Stay up-to-date with current project management best practices.
3. Coordinate and facilitate efficient project close-out processes, including final 'snags' or outstanding works.
4. Support processes within the Project Management Framework to meet customer and market expectations.
5. Contribute to value creation through project and programme processes and systems, and successful project delivery.
Customer Relations
1. Serve as the single point of contact for all assigned projects, establishing trust with our customers.
2. Familiarize yourself with contractual arrangements for each assigned project, collaborating with the Business Development Manager and Customer as needed.
3. Align stakeholder expectations and ensure clear traceability between agreements and delivered outcomes.
Timeline & Budget Management
1. Communicate project deliverables clearly to relevant business functions.
2. Submit extensions of time when necessary and feasible.
3. Manage project costs against budgetary milestones, taking corrective action when needed, and ensuring the finance team is aware of any changes in forecast margins.
4. Identify and manage variation opportunities, covering non-planned costs with variation orders where possible.
5. Take ownership of staged payment release within each project.
Communications & Reporting
1. Cultivate open communication to inform internal and external stakeholders of project progress and issues.
2. Track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies, reporting regularly as part of the PM Governance Framework.
3. Make the Voice of the Customer visible to internal Stakeholders.
4. Elevate concerns through appropriate channels to ensure proportionate escalation.
