Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Jabil in Dublin is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join their Quality Team.
Summary:
1. Leads containment and resolution of supplier quality issues. Monitors and works with suppliers directly to resolve non-conforming parts or suppliers across all programs.
2. Determines appropriate Inspection processes and directs IQC personnel, where applicable, in executing day-to-day activities.
3. Evaluates supplier performance, drives supplier improvements, and corrective actions through the SCAR process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reviews all supplier or customer discrepancies, coordinates, and tracks corrective/preventative action efforts.
2. Participates in vendor survey activities as applicable, drives proactive participation with suppliers, and aids in their process improvement efforts.
3. Provides insight and assistance in implementing and maintaining Process Improvement and Optimization methods.
4. Defines, develops, and implements Supply base strategies that drive improvements in supplier selection, development, and leverage for quality improvements and cost savings.
5. Provides regular updates to the Quality Engineering Manager on the execution of the strategy.
6. Supports NPI activities by participating in the AQP process as required.
7. Ensures timely resolution of production critical supplier issues and implements corrective actions.
9. Monitors and drives PPM issues with the supply base and helps achieve 'Dock to Stock' certified with Jabil (in accordance with the vendor performance system).
10. Leads the SCAR – Supplier Corrective/Preventive Action process for problem resolution and continuous improvement.
11. Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
12. Complies with and follows all procedures within the company security policy.
13. Serves as the Site RoHS subject Matter Expert.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
2. 3-5 years' experience in Quality Engineering or a related field within an electronic manufacturing environment.
3. Previous experience liaising with customers and suppliers.
