Overview
As we continue to grow Waters Clinical Business Unit, we are looking for an experienced project manager to lead assay development projects working out of our Wexford, Ireland facility. You will work closely with a highly talented and motivated team with a mission to solve problems that matter for our Clinical customers, delivering solutions that improve patient health worldwide.
Responsibilities
1. Act as project manager on one or more new product development (NPD) or critical sustaining projects incorporating:To take full accountability for the completion of those projects in line with Waters' Clinical business strategy.Lead diverse teams with a wide array of stakeholders, third parties, strategic alliance partners and other external collaboratorsTo maintain clear visibility of all aspects of projects from concept to product launch and complete with project closure.To provide periodic updates to Senior Management summarizing project status based on evaluating key project metrics.To apply foresight and insight to proactively address projects issues and risks.To ensure that the projects have routine risk management and mitigation in place in order to ensure that project goals are achieved.To ensure that projects comply with all company policies and procedures and system requirements.To understand and articulate business goals and financial tracking. To participate in the management of Waters Clinical portfolio of Product Development Projects.
Qualifications
Education:
2. Bachelor’s degree or higher in science, engineering, management, or directly equivalent experience.
3. Higher level of education preferred along with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Agile PM or equivalent type qualification preferable.
Experience:
4. Development of assays, kits, reagents or similar products, preferably for use in an IVD environment.
5. Demonstrated experience in management projects through a Product Development Process.
6. Experience in Product lifecycle management and in-depth knowledge and discipline in the application of project management best practices.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills with excellent communication and presentation skills
Competencies:
8. Strong competencies in planning, project management and leadership of multiple projects, activities and resources.
9. Ability to deal skillfully and promptly with new situations in order to identify feasible and practical solutions.
10. Ability to work across a wide range of functional and hierarchical boundaries.
