Maintenance Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and implement permanent solutions to manufacturing issues using a structured problem-solving approach.
• Provide technical support for OEE Metrics Yield & Downtime, communicating critical downtime events and developing recovery resolution plans.
• Assist with equipment/product changeovers while implementing continuous improvements to reduce changeover times (SMED).
• Perform and schedule equipment preventative maintenance (PM) to optimize equipment performance.
• Manage and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime.
• Design jigs & fixtures to meet manufacturing requirements and improve existing processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols, prioritizing personal health and safety as well as that of colleagues.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure correct daily/weekly priorities.
• Be aware of energy consumption and potential environmental impacts associated with maintenance work.
• Contribute to energy conservation and enhanced energy performance through responsible practices.
• Participate in OH&S, Environmental, and Energy Management systems, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Train Production Operators on process equipment and product specifications.

• Hands-on approach to diagnosing and fixing manufacturing issues.
• Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills using a systematic approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Previous trade experience (Toolmaker, Fitter, Electrician, Mechanic etc.) or NFQ Level 6 in a Technical Discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or Electrical).
• Mechanical, Electrical, or Lean Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
• Process experience in Grinding, Moulding, EDM, and/or Laser processes is a distinct advantage.
