Job Summary
The post holder is required to provide and assist in the provision of high-quality person-centered care for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in all aspects of direct personal care for patients/clients and carry out other assigned tasks in support of and supervised by a Registered Nurse or Midwife.
* Follow the agreed plan of care.
* Respect people's dignity, wishes, and beliefs and obtain their consent for treatment.
Supportive Care Tasks:
* Assist with the care of patients' clothing, laundry, lockers, and wardrobes.
* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and beverages for patients.
* Assist patients to eat and drink and record and report same.
Reporting and Recording:
* Maintain high standards of practice at all times.
* Participate in the care of the deceased patient and their relatives.
* Record and report care activities undertaken accurately to the nurse-in-charge.
Professional Conduct:
* Ensure that all information regarding patients is kept in strict confidence.
* Promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have an NVQ Level 2 Care Award or equivalent.
You will also be required to complete an Enhanced Access NI Check.
