Job Description
A skilled Machine Setter/Operator is required to support our client's manufacturing operations over the weekend. This hands-on role involves setting up and operating 5-axis pallet machines to ensure continuous production.
* Set up and operate 5-axis pallet machines to manufacture parts per supplied drawings.
* Understand CNC programs and tooling, though full programming expertise is not required.
* Ensure continuous operation of machinery over the weekend, troubleshooting as necessary.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications, including geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
* Load feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position.
* Verify parts by measuring critical dimensions at regular intervals, maintaining inspection records.
* Perform first-off approval with the Quality Department before batch production.
* Maintain equipment, completing preventative maintenance as per manufacturer's guidelines.
* Ensure a safe working environment by following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
* Document production and quality logs accurately.
* Support cleaning and packing duties as required.
Requirements:
* Experience setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machines (pallet-based systems preferred).
* Ability to understand CNC programs and tooling types.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach.
* Ability to work independently over weekends to maintain machine uptime.
* Good understanding of quality control processes and measurement techniques.
