The IT Manager oversees the team and related delivery activities for local systems. For non-local systems, the BSS Plan, Build and Run IT Manager collaborates with business units and IT to deliver Abbott solutions and ensure value is achieved as anticipated from outsourced relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the local PBR team of employees, including budget responsibility (site dependent).
* Partner with BRMs to achieve shared goals.
* Oversight of business requirements to ensure alignment with company objectives.
* Collaborate with enterprise strategy on domain direction to drive business success.
* Leverage strengths from project teams to manage program-level risks and issues.
* Lead decision-making, planning, and execution of IT initiatives to drive business growth.
* Ensure delivery of Local IT Solutions that meet customer needs.
Local Systems Support
* Accountable for end-to-end support to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Regularly report performance metrics to stakeholders.
* Monitor service level infractions to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop new Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metrics as needed.
* Work with stakeholders to gain agreement on new SLAs and metrics.
Non-Local Systems Responsibilities
* BSS Run is accountable for end-to-end support to ensure consistent service delivery.
* Coordinate with Business Solutions and Service (BSS) Run on support activities and critical incident communications.
* Harmonize and motivate team members to achieve shared goals.
Minimum Education/Training Required
* Degree in IT and/or complimentary business degree and/or relevant experience.
* At least 5-7 years of experience in IT, preferably in the healthcare industry.
* Prior management experience to lead high-performing teams.
* Problem determination and resolution skills to drive business outcomes.
* Strong collaboration and partnering skills to build effective relationships.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas.
* Knowledge of business environment, service requirements, and culture to drive business success.

2. Manage in-queue requests (Work Intake) lifecycle to ensure timely completion.
