Network Support Engineer
* Hybrid (3 days onsite) in central Dublin
* Day rate contract (6-months)
Experience/Competencies/Skillsets
Essential Experience on the following:
* Solid experience supporting network configuration management solutions and network security solutions
* Working experience with multiple security technologies such as CISCO, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
* Experience with network security monitoring and vulnerability management tools
* Experience working with ticketing tools for Incident, Change & Problem Management
Experience in the following areas would be a distinct advantage:
* Experience with Access and Identity Management solutions
* Experience with Microsoft Azure Security
* Experience with web and email content filters, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
Essential Competencies:
* Solid knowledge and understanding of LAN, WAN, DMZ, VPN and DNS network technologies and protocols
Qualifications/ Certifications which would be a distinct advantage:
* Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet Certifications, Checkpoint CCSA
* EC-Council CEH, SSCP, CCSP
Skills:
* Aptitude for solving problems and acting on own initiative.
* Strong team player with a flexible approach.
* Highly motivated with a willingness to adapt and learn new skills.
* Effective communicator, both written and oral, with a positive and confident attitude.
You should be flexible and adaptable as priorities may change over the course of the contract.
Key Deliverables:
The Networks Support Administrator will participate in managing and maintaining a secure network infrastructure and communication systems with a strong emphasis on availability, security practices and monitoring tools.
Duties will include, but not limited to, assisting with the following tasks:
* Administration support of wired and wireless network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, load balancing, network access management and other network security elements.
* Ensure the reliable operation and integrity of network nodes and communication systems.
* Troubleshoot and analyse network security on various technologies.
* Participate in daily monitoring of security system logs and reports for anomalies and problems.
* Assist in analysis and remediation of identified network security issues
* Review vulnerability assessments and audit reports for remediation and mitigation solutions.
