Due to business expansion, we are currently seeking experienced and qualified M.E.T. Technicians to join our team. We are looking for professional, organised, committed individuals with exceptional attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out all necessary mechanical and body work on allocated jobs.
2. Dismantling vehicles ready for the panel shop.
3. Carrying out inspections, fault-finding and diagnostic work.
4. Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition.
5. Planning your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales.
6. Working skilfully and safely under pressure.
7. Carrying out work in accordance with manufacturers' methods, standards and specifications.
8. Working as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.
9. Continuously working to high standards with customer satisfaction in mind.
10. Working with Prestige Vehicles, Supercars, Electric & Hybrid Vehicles.
11. Using the correct equipment, tooling and repair methods to the standards set by the manufacturer.
12. Ensuring that all tasks carried out follow our Health and Safety guidelines, including wearing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and keeping all work areas clean and tidy.
13. Quality checking on completion of work, ensuring there are no defects.
14. Achieving an ongoing high rate of productivity.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience and Skills:
1. You will have gained at least five years’ experience of M.E.T. stripping and fitting within the Automotive Repair Industry and be used to dealing with high volumes of work in a state-of-the-art bodyshop working to both manufacturer and company standards.
2. Must be able to demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of the vehicle repair industry with a desire to continually learn new techniques and processes; ongoing training is provided as required by the company.
3. The knowledge and ability to work with computer-based systems such as EMACS.
4. Engaged and open to continuous learning and development.
5. The pride and attention to detail to complete each job to the very best of your ability and to manufacturer standards.
6. Be a strong team player with self-motivation, able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
7. Attention to detail and good communication skills.
Qualifications:
1. The candidate must have at least 5 years working within the automotive Repair Industry as an M.E.T. Technician.
2. A.T.A. Certified.
3. M.E.T. Certified.
4. Must have a full UK Driving Licence.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:00 am - 06:00 pm
Saturday: 08:00 am - 12:00 pm (on a rotational basis)
